Our Name is Our Mission

Dedication of Aileen’s House

On October 26, 2017, CSI hosted a very special dedication ceremony renaming our Hartford House women’s program after CSI’s longest serving employee, Aileen O’Connor, who passed away this spring after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.  Aileen dedicated 27 years to Community Solutions, playing an instrumental role in the success of CSI’s programs, staff, and clients.  She tirelessly gave of her time and talents to advocate for re-entry services and community-based alternatives for CSI’s clients and she did it with her signature style and in her unassuming way.

The dedication included a ribbon cutting ceremony where numerous beautiful words were shared and there was an unveiling of a plaque commemorating Aileen for devoting her life to bettering the lives of the unique population that we serve.

Roughly 100 people were in attendance on the day of the ceremony, ranging from family, friends, staff, coworkers, parole and probation officers, clients, to the DOC Commissioner Scott Semple among other notable Connecticut justice system leaders.

Now called The Aileen O’Connor House, or for short “Aileen’s House” her legacy will live on and her name will never be forgotten
