Residential Work ReleaseThis is a program for state and federal work release clients who live in a congregate setting and are supported as they obtain full-time employment and meet financial and self-sufficiency goals. The program administers assessments, monitors clients' compliance with treatment plan goals and involves clients in direct treatment services that address their criminogenic tendencies. Random breathalyzer or urinalysis, cognitive behavioral groups, and case management assist the client in maintaining stability leading to successful discharge.^ return to top Gender-Specific ProgramsCSI offers a variety of services to female populations including an integrated program for substance-affected women and their children, a mother and infant bonding program and an all-female residential work release program.^ return to top Integrated Program for Substance-Affected Women and Their ChildrenThis is a long-term residential treatment program for substance-abusing women that encourages mothers to maintain or reestablish bonds with their children. Children under age five can reside with their mothers, and children up to age 10 can have overnight visits. Day visits for all children are encouraged. Activities such as family-style meals, structured play activities and field trips support each mother's relationship with her children. The women are in substance abuse and relapse prevention groups daily, attend AA/NA meetings, evidence-based and gender-specific groups and perform supervised community service projects.^ return to top Mothers and Infants Nurtured Together (MINT)This is a confinement placement for pregnant offenders who have been approved for community placement. While in the program they receive prenatal care at a cooperating hospital, give birth and bond with their babies for three months following birth. Groups cover prepared childbirth, parenting classes, life skills, nutritional education and healthy relationships. At the close of the program, some clients transition to the community whereas others return to a secure setting after making arrangements for the care of the baby.^ return to top Day Reporting ProgramThis program model provides seven-day-a-week monitoring for up to six to 10 hours per day. The program administers ongoing risk/need assessments, monitors clients' compliance with treatment plan goals and involves clients in direct treatment services that address their criminogenic tendencies. Cognitive behavioral and motivational interviewing strategies are used throughout the program. In addition, problem solving, anger management, and individual and group counseling are incorporated into programming each week. Each client receives a substance abuse evaluation and substance abuse education or treatment, if needed.^ return to top Alternative Incarceration Centers (AIC)AICs offer a community-based alternative to incarceration for nonviolent offenders. AICs administer assessments and use targeted intervention strategies to develop treatment plans and assist clients in gaining full-time employment. Motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral groups and motivational enhancement therapy techniques are used throughout the program. Clients submit to urinalysis and perform community service projects during program placement.^ return to top Inpatient Substance Abuse TreatmentThis program provides a highly structured schedule with therapeutic activities from early morning through evening over a 30-day period. This treatment model is designed to impact client psychology, behavior, emotions, social structure and spirituality. Clients attend AA/NA meetings and are linked with resources to support and maintain abstinence. Clients may transition to work release after program completion or the program may provide a "step back" for clients whose community placement is unsuccessful.^ return to top Project GreenThis program combines inpatient substance abuse treatment with full-time community service. The target population is males age 18 and older with substance abuse issues and a history of drug sales or possession with intent to sell and who have violated probation or are eligible for sentencing under an alternative incarceration program.
