NewsDecember 2009The CSI Training and Resource Center was awarded the CT Judicial Branch contract for Client Engagement Training. The CSI Training and Resource Center will prepare and conduct trainings for supervisors and staff for Adult Probation and Juvenile Probation. The Engagement Training Project is built around the principles of risk reduction and how to use existing tools and resources to engage the client. It includes interpreting and utilizing assessment scores, using motivational interviewing strategies to heighten engagement and decrease resistance and providing feedback to clients on assessment results. The approach used for the Engagement Training Project is motivational and strength based, using interactive training methods to engage the adult learner. |
